There’s a lot of argument online about the actual extent of the performance cut (Denuvo’s)
All I know about that is a while back I had tried buying Far Cry 6 when it had Denuvo, and it wouldn’t even run on my older pc so I got a refund. Then later I tried a denuvo-less version, it ran like a charm.
Makes me wonder how much money companies actually lose overall by stuffing that crap in everything in their efforts to make an extra couple dollars off us.
I dont care what the evidence is. If theres a layer of encryption between me and the game, theres gonna be worse performance. I dont care if its 1% or 10% worse, but it is worse and that pisses me off.
as a former overclocker I was happy with sub 1% gains.
I had to use a crack with an original dead rising copy, because the DRM was not updated for the latest windows, and it just crashed the game
It was Claude. Sue Anthropic.
I’m thinking the charge should be accessory to felony contempt of business model, lol
The person(s) in question are likely not even in the US given their response.
I knew they were suing voices38 but I didn’t know they had responded. Do you have a source? Or mind sharing what they said?
I find this curious and worrisome. Spotify sued Anna’s archive and it seems to be giving other corps ideas. I’ve read before that even if they never identify these people (Anna’s, voices38) or receive any money from them they can still use these default judgements to write these (insane) numbers off as losses on taxes or something. Idk I’m not a lawyer lizard. I’m just a guy who hates Denuvo.
They answered on crackwatch, old website
Do you have a source
moth wonders why the article which directly linked to their response was not a good enough source for you
Moth should know I don’t like to click on rockpapershotgun links, so I didn’t know it was in the article. Thanks to the homies™, I was able to find it without rockpapershotgun. I hope this satisfies the moth’s curiosity.
moth thinks that’s fair enough
