Unlike with other AI companies, this is opt-in. It is yet another pane in the slew of “do you opt in to anonymized diagnostics” you see when setting up your iPhone, where you can select “Yes” or “Not now”. “Not now” in Apple’s case means that you can enable it later in Settings > Privacy.
All of this has got me looking for a Linux-based tablet instead of throwing more money Apple’s way.

Makes me glad that from the get-go, I have turned Siri off, buried the app icon and just never think to even have an idea that it’s something I’d use. I’ve turned the blindest of eyes towards it.
