Texas Democratic U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico hosted an event in Dallas with Epstein abuse survivors Annie Farmer and Sharlene Rochard. They called upon Talarico's opponent, Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), to secure the release of the remaining documents related to the FBI's investigation of the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The event took place at a traveling exhibit of Epstein files called the "The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room." Talarico would face Paxton in the November 3, 2026, general election, which Inside Elections rated as "Lean Republican" and the Cook Political Report rated as "Toss-Up."

Corrupt officials are still covering up for Epstein’s abuse by refusing to release 2.5 million additional files. Our attorney general here in Texas has the power to get justice for these survivors, and he’s refusing to do so.

Ken Paxton has a history of covering up abuse, a history of protecting pedophiles. He has an opportunity to use his power, his authority. To get justice, and we are demanding that he do so. I am tired of seeing powerful people cover up abuse. I think we’re all tired of it, Democrats, independents, and Republicans alike.

Ken Paxton has two choices. He can stand with these survivors and get justice, or he can continue to cover up Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse. The choice is entirely his, and I hope that this exhibit is a reminder to all of us that the fight for justice continues.

    The sister of the victim mentioned Gislaine Maxwell’s release request being almost entirely redacted. Here is a story about it from The Arkansas Advocate through a MSN portal. Sorry, that’s all I could find. I might have missed this story going by, or it wasn’t widely reported:

    New Maxwell transfer form confirms process but leaves reason for minimum security move redacted

    The first publicly released transfer application for Ghislaine Maxwell confirms that federal prison officials formally processed her move to a minimum security Texas camp in July 2025. But the document withholds the central details needed to assess why the convicted sex trafficker qualified for that placement and who approved it.

    The transfer remains politically charged because it came days after Maxwell sat for two days of interviews with Todd Blanche, then the deputy attorney general and now the attorney general. The timing prompted questions about whether the move reflected ordinary prison management decisions, a safety concern, a classification waiver or special treatment.
