I know people from Canada, I work with people from Canada. I have a question: Can you tell a Canadian from an American when you talk to them? How about when looking at them through a security camera?

Seems like a big insurgency issue.

Canada needs nukes. Its the only thing the Americans respect.

I’m surprised they don’t already have them. Major miscalculation of their leaders. They could get them easy enough.

But there are other weapons of mass destruction, and I’m sure Canada has some of those. Chemical, biological weapons. Many could yield even higher body counts than a nuke perhaps.

Drones are the only WMD we truly need to worry about. Just look ar Russia/Ukraine. There will be nothing left of either by the time it’s over.

163 billion according to some french canadian website. 43% of crude imports to the US, wikipedia.

But that also kind of misses the broad price moves that happen on the global market perhaps, although the brent crude standard is now dated as ppb of distillates is like 2x what crude is, with margins of 100% from a historical average of around 15% but I’d have to re read yesterday’s reuters article about it.

So 6.3 million barrels per day produced nationwide. 630 million dollars a day gross.

The aging oil pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac has to be shut down, and enbridge’s plan to encase it in a tunnel is just bullshit to allow business as usual while they fillibuster the state from shutting it down in the courts.

It’s already really damaged, big holidays (the word for lesions on a pipeline or whatever,) some as large as dinner plates. Enbridge said it was fine before that, an independent group went down there and filmed it and showed they were lying.

Not even automatic shut off valves that kick in if the pressure drops. And it’s the same company that already had a spill in battle creek michigan while the BP gulf rupture was still raging. And never cleaned up.

Yeah, Canada should fuck off with their oil. If they insist on drilling, refine it yourselves. The great lakes are more valuable than your stupid oil. That is one gripe but there are plenty of others.
