    Fuck smart TVs, I don’t want their smart features and I don’t want to sell them data for the privilege of having to navigate through a laggy menu. I use a very stupid projector, it was $5 from a thrift store and only displays at 480p but man do I love it.

    I’ve been putting my TVs on a dedicated subnet for years. Saw some weird traffic coming from a Samsung one day and I quarantined them all.

      Some of the new LGs apparently have two wireless transmitters and will only expose one to the user, allowing the other to hunt for public networks in the background. You might be asking “wait how do they get a connection” and the answer is usually “your neighbor’s wireless router’s public channel.”
