      I have a bit more sympathy for those in a real state of risk for their survival if they try to fight. It’s not easy to be a martyr. For those whose only sacrifice is a fraction of their wealth and status… Their cowardice is appalling.

        I don’t.

        In the last election, Trump won by a hair. Also in the last election, almost a third of the voting populace decided to sit that one out.

        In effect two thirds of the American electorate was fine with Trump as president. One third directly voted for him, one third just said “meh, both sides” and went about their day.

          I didn’t say I absolve them all of the role they played. I said I’m more sympathetic. It’s a subtle distinction, but I don’t think it’s an irrelevant one.
