Vertical PV specialist Over Easy Solar has deployed its first installation in Ireland. The 5.37 kW vertical system is paired with a green roof in Dublin.

Didnt realise vertical PV was a thing, but it seemed notable because:

  • vertical PV can include vegetation to increase outputs, whilst not shading foliage.
  • im some cases they have higher output than an equivalent area of traditional panels (surface area???)

    Yes, the newer bifacial panels can collect energy from both sides. In certain conditions they can even exceed the rated wattage due to light scattering/reflecting allowing for more than nominal energy collection.
