    I do wonder how many artists are simply recording songs that were written by AI and calling it their own.

      If AI wrote it, they aren’t the artist.

      This is such a no-brainer move from ARIA - if it weren’t for anything AI getting press right now, this would hardly be worth a mention.

        The thing is that most commercial music isn’t written by the artists either.

        Despite the plethora of covers of terrible 80s songs that are flooding the airwaves at the moment, most new songs are written by songwriters who work for the record labels.

        A line does need to be drawn through, the songwriters who work for the record labels need to be protected too, as well as the musicians and artists and “real” musicians and artists who do write their own music.

          There are ARIA award categories for songwriters and performers.

          If you make your song with AI, you are neither.
