Hard to settle an argument before end of day when the partner waits until it’s late at night to bring shit up

It’s bad wording. The message is to not bottle feelings, resolve the issues. Bottling up leads to resentment and that’s poison for any relationship.

Ah yes, something I’ve been working on with my partner too. I’m way too tired for this shit at 2am

The amount of concessions you grant are tied directly to what time your alarm clock is set to.

Sure thing honey, I was totally flirting with the pizza delivery girl for the entire 4 seconds the door was open. Very disrespectful. Won’t do it again. Honestly. Please let me sleep.

I will say, sometimes you need space/time to settle an argument. Not saying let it hang but I think understanding your partners space/time needs is critical.

Still saying I love you every night helps a ton though!

Saying “We’ll figure this out, I still love you” when you need that time break is the secret code to that balance imo.

Still stressed from the argument but it’s a reminder that it’s not fighting against your partner, but with them against the misunderstanding.

My partner and I’s rule is to never go to bed angry. I think in nearly seven years we have broken this twice
