- Better DNS fallback (Mullvad secondary).
- IPv6 support improvements (DNS + routing).
- Secure DNS battery optimizations (caching, idle socket handling).
- VPN fail-safe behavior (“fail closed”) and better recovery from tunnel failures.
- External VPN handling and revocation behavior improved.
- Performance:
- Batched database writes and reduced network reload frequency.
- Memory reduction via streaming blocklist parsing.
- Reduced battery usage (VPN + DNS).

latest release :
Version 2026080501 focuses on Android compatibility, VPN/tunnel reliability, and clearer privacy diagnostics. github
- Android 17 local-network support: Adds support for Android 17’s local-network protections, with clearer warnings when TrackerControl lacks or is blocked from local-network access.
- Better tethering behavior: Tethering compatibility mode now routes the entire tunnel, improving consistency for devices sharing the connection.
- More reliable Mullvad/IVPN connections: Automatically switches to another relay if the currently selected relay remains unavailable.
- Improved tracker attribution and visibility: Shared-IP DNS evidence is attributed based on recency, tracker activity that was recorded but could not previously be displayed is now surfaced, and the system-app filter has been restored.
- Maintenance and usability fixes: Updated tracker/host lists, translations, and dependencies; also fixes the release-asset ordering so the in-app updater retrieves the APK correctly.
