It wasn’t her wings or teeth that gave it away. But the reflection she did not have.
When I started this piece I was planning to paint a reflection. Silly me. Looks unsettling without it which I think fits the scene.

10/10 would be tricked, just to see how the wings attach.
General reminder that bats, being mammals, have similar bone layout to other mammals, including humans. The wings are arms, the ribs are fingers. Bats fly by the power of vigorous jazz hands
You’re absolutely right. But it doesn’t fit our modern fictional view of vampire wings. Though I did consider being more realistic for a moment and having the wings attach all the way down to the ankles and so on.
I want to clarify that I’m straight up accepting the physiology and, separately, wanted to spread the bat explanation!
Bat knowledge is always good knowledge to share!
Sick as fuck composition
Thank you!
Ok maybe it was the wings a little
🤣🤣🤣
But they’re hardly noticeable 😁
I think the wings are great, very well done.
Thank you!
I like how large they are. Most wings in fantasy are just little stubby winglets that could barely slow a fall in reality. These look like you could actually hang glide using them.
I feel the same way about wings. The ratio should clearly show they’re effective.
Great looking translucency on the wings!
Thank you!
Remarkable
Thank you!
