AI is the perfect showcase for capitalism holding the productive forces back. Under socialism it would still be a problem but not nearly to the extent it is now.
In fact, this isn’t even theoretical anymore because we can see how differently this tech is applied in China.
That is something I need to look into, I don’t know how Chinese use it but I did see them protect workers from layoffs which was great news.

Also something to add, a lot of AI investment in USA is also sketchy circular investment. So it’s actually way worse than the graph comparing AI investment volume of different countries implies.

i mean not really because you wouldn’t have all this forced rollout with ten billion data centers and it has to be a fucking arms race because of course it does and there has to be all this harm to the environment because the only way to keep things going to keep getting money to keep doing work on it other than just fraud (lol spacex ipo) is profit motive enshittification bullshit
