Maybe people just hate them.
Hate to break it to ya, The Walrus, but the two or three most powerful politicians in Canada are all (vaguely) conservative. Certainly more right than left.
By making the Conservatives be terrible?
You know in your heart that people love to vote for terrible candidates.
