I’ve never seen a cat that likes to have its butt patted while it’s eating.
We have had two!
They come and cry at you until you follow them to the bowl, stir it, and pet them some while they eat.
My last two cats didn’t. My current one? Very much so.
Both my cats enjoy it but it’s not required.
From my experience it’s somewhere between “tolerated” and “fuck off”.
