“Analysis”, in either case it’s good to know what the geopolitics critters are thinking.
You don’t see this type of propaganda on Mastodon much. Very interesting and totally disturbing. Must be a very Israeli audience intended as it would leave most others cold.
Why the downvotes? This provides a good view of how Israelis see their own intelligence ops and their priorities.
I don’t know. I would be interested to hear from those who downvoted, why they did so.
I take the downvotes to indicate that many people find the activity described in the article to be unacceptable.
Some people seem to find Israel’s behaviour to be morally justified and appropriate while others find it repugnant. My personal opinion is that while some of the ends are reasonable and justified from a moral perspective, some of the means of achieving them are not. I am then torn between promoting awareness of and insight into the activities and attitudes, and expressing opposition to what I think are unacceptable means of achieving their objectives.
If someone wrote an analysis and critique of this from moral and legal perspectives that put the intentions, actions and expected outcomes in the context of historical norms of acceptable behaviour, it would be easy to upvote the analysis as it would simultaneously promote awareness and a more broadly acceptable moral perspective.
On the other hand, there will be no agreement on the morality of what is being done or should be done. There is very little that could be said about Israel that everyone or even just a substantial majority would agree with. The situation is riddled with conflict and moral dilemmas.
I just thought it was interesting
I too found it interesting, but also troubling. Sadly, there will be no end to violent conflict to look forward to, in my lifetime.
