Hi everyone — I’m the developer of AI Manga Translator.

I started working on this because translating a manga page with a general text translator often means manually cropping speech bubbles, retyping dialogue, or switching between several different tools.

The project focuses on an image-first workflow:

• Upload a manga or comic page
• Detect text areas inside the image
• Translate the dialogue
• Review and adjust the result in the browser
• Use either a quick translation mode or a more detailed editor

I’m currently most interested in feedback on:

• Vertical Japanese text
• Small or stylised lettering
• Crowded speech bubbles
• Pages with complex backgrounds
• Whether the editing workflow feels clear
• How usable the tool feels on mobile devices

This is my own project, so I’m sharing it as [OC] rather than as an independent recommendation. Honest criticism is welcome, especially from people who regularly read manga, work with scanlations, or create comics.
