    Fuck Telus.

    And Rogers.

    Oh, and of course Bell.

Canadian telecoms are parasites operating as a collusive oligopoly. They need to be destroyed.

If Rogers datacenters would burn to the ground today it would still not be soon enough, parasitic bullshit company that just got bought up by an investment company Qu or something, so now it’ll get even worse!

Compared to OVH, you literally pay 3x more to get 10x less hardware. Where OVH is boring with no outages, Rogers keeps shit interresting with weekly traditional unexplained outages, yay! Who wouldn’t want these numb nuts as a provider?

Hey there is real competition with the big three, checks notes, sorry no I mean there is only quasi-real competition in Saskatchewan for the big three!

Lol no. How about you lockdown your own wireless system so that we don’t get spam calls all the time first?

only apply to “subsidized or financed devices provided in conjunction with a wireless services term contract.”

This doesn’t make sense, if it’s to prevent theft then why would it only apply to some phones?

Because the phone technically still belongs to the company financing it out to a person until it is fully paid off, I suppose.

Edit: My bad. I misunderstood the “theft” part. Thought it was people using the phone “stealing” the phone to go to another service.

Pretty sure if there’s a PIN and/or password lock screen on any modern phone it’s only good for parts once stolen. You’ll need the google/apple account to factory reset and set it up.
