An Indian living in India, i feel like it is the need for another “dirty outsider” Chinese fulfilled this role for the longest time while Indians were model minority, more things seem to be reversing.
I think much of the racism against Indian and Asians could be a combination of jealousy of perceived success, and bleed over from general othering.

I encountered this transmasc person online, and they were really interested in gettting to know me.
At first, I thought they were simply a cool friendly person, but shit went downhill with them really fast the more I learned about them.
- They’re originally from Ukraine and have called the USSR “colonialist.”
- With that in mind, unsurprisingly, they are fervently anti-communist and said a bunch of horrid anti-China and anti-Iran nonsense.
- And if you thought that wasn’t bad enough: they have a penchant for fetishizing Black people. Holy shit. The things this person told me are horrible… they are an artist and clearly see us as exotic creatures or something of that sort. Here is some of the objectifying shit they said:

I went on their Instagram account and I checked their reposts. Their reposts are virtually always content from Black creators that either talk about Black issues directly or content that centers Black people in some way, shape, or form. I went through their stories, and I decided to test something. They had 8 stories posted at the time I did this, so I said to myself, “Let me count how many of them center Black people.” Guess what? All 8 of them. ALL FUCKING 8 OF THEM.
I couldn’t. There was no reason for me to keep contact with this person. The first 2 things I mentioned were bad enough, but the fetishization of Blackness is something I’m especially uneasy about from a real personal perspective. That shit doesn’t fly with me. I’m not trying to be viewed as a deity, especially not by some Ukrainian lib.

Interview went really fucking well. The interviewer was visibly impressed by a lot of what I said, and I seem incredibly compatible with them. Typically, I’d have little to no expectations for an interview, but because I actually have a referral for this one, I actually don’t think my chances are too off here. Apparently, I’m going to get an answer sometime next week most likely. The interviewer told me that they’d typically expect to supply an answer by the end of the work week, but because Friday is the day AmeriKKKans commemorate the founding of their genocidal, exploitative, settler-colonial entity, I won’t hear back by then.

I’m seeing some of the World Cup videos going around - and I really do love seeing people from other countries welcomed and having a good time. Truly. And for the most part others are enjoying the simple beauty and joy of human interactions. But then there is a contigent of “SEE! America is the greatest country in the world - you are just too ungrateful to realize it”
When I complain about the U.S I don’t mean that we don’t have very large gas stations or bacon with breakfast. The Americans I interact with are genuinely nice, interesting and dynamic people who I want to be around and this is a fun country (used to be more so but still). All of that is fine. I mean that our government has (among other things) gone on a multi-decade killing spree all over the world to take out thousands leftist leaders, union organizers or just good people who want to help their community. That we funded death squads who did serial killer shit to civilians because they never won actual battles with leftist guerillas. That our culture is so hateful that certain people would rather have less of everything than to see some non white people possibly have more than them.
Whatever joy is coming out of the world is cup is 100 percent despite their best efforts to make us all miserable.
I am angry precisley because I do love Americans and I believe that we have potential. The celebrations are happening in the cities where more people share our politics or at least have the potential to be empathetic, curious and joyful. The right is trying to co opt this energy - as they always do but the moment is against them. Lets make the most of it.
