I still remember unreal tournament 3. They promised a Linux version so I prepaid then they cancelled it at the last second, refused to elaborate, the dev they paid was under NDA and then had the audacity to refuse refunds.
I have very little faith anything will come of this.
No way a solitary security engineer getting paid less than 250k is ever going to find the fix to solve hacking for Linux.
That’s like hiring a McDonald’s shift manager to solve world hunger.
Or an H&R Block tax preparer to solve tax loopholes for billionaires.
Bet it’s going to require TPM and MS signed SecureBoot anyway.
Kind of funny since they dont really do much to support Linux - EGS doesn’t have an official launcher for example…
This is good news: more compatible games. Remember, you don’t have to install it. I probably won’t…
