The whole thing’s bonkers. The NYT writing a several hundred word meticulously researched and sourced story about the actual fascist tools tasked with burying the demented rapist’s decades long involvement in child rape and sex trafficking, much less the many, many, many other rich and connected criminals involved . . . is insane.
It’s bloodless, it’s sooo painfully careful that they may as well just post a video of the reporters making OMG WTF faces but not saying anything. And it’s because they have a book coming out.
An article about an obvious cover-up of many obvious crimes that we’re all pretty well aware of and yet they can’t state one obvious conclusion. Not one.
It goes so far out of its way to avoid saying Trump did anything wrong. It is implying SO heavily that Trump never actually engaged in anything illegal on Epstein Island, I’m a bit surprised it never stated so outright.
I think I can consider the NYT fully captured at this point.
They haven’t been far from it since forever. Failed to stop Iraq II (went along with it even), ragged on Obama non-stop, killed Hillary wherever possible, supported trump in every way except the Opinion section.
They could have done a lot of good, but they chose not to.
Blair spoke up. “With all due respect,” he said, “the communications strategy of this group got us here. I don’t know that it’s going to get us out. And if you’re going to go in front of the press, you’ve got a lot of work to do.”
Sounds like the only sane voice in the room that day.
