Great to see people turn out. Hope it sends a signal to others that they are not alone and need to turn out at the poles. But assuming the estimate is accurate, that’s about 2.5% of the population. It will take a few million, focused in the capital, for days, weeks, and resisting the violence that will be directed at them, before the country really wakes up. At this point, too many just aren’t ready. They may not figure it out until after the midterms.
