The AEW owner’s Base 10 company was among 4 bidders in the sale along with Endeavor, Liberty Media, and KKR.

The article talks a lot about the lawsuit between WWE shareholders and the WWE, allegedly when WWE was for sale they turned down better offers and merged with Endeavor. Base 10, the company backed by Tony Khan, offered less than Endeavor, so they wouldn’t have been in the running for a final buyer.

The article points out these offers:

Base 10: $6.9 billion

KKR: $8.0 billion to $8.7 billion

Liberty Media: $8.5 billion to $8.9 billion

Endeavor: $8.5 billion

It’s probably for the best Tony didn’t win, but it still would have been funny.

I would have laughed so hard! Granted it would have been terrible for wrestling. Not thst TKO was great.
