Hey everyone 👋
I’ve started a community for FluxerWorld, a self-hosted Discord-style platform I’ve been working on and running publicly.
💡 What is Fluxer?
Fluxer is an open-source messaging + VoIP platform focused on:
- self-hosting
- flexibility
- independence
Basically a Discord-style system you can control yourself.
🌐 Public instance
You can join, chat, and test it right now.

Still early, but already running and evolving — would love to hear what people think 😏

I like Fluxer and am very hopeful for its future, but do we really need two communities for it? There is already !fluxer_app@lemmy.world
Good question 🙂
The existing community is for Fluxer as a whole (development, features, general discussion).
FluxerWorld is a specific public instance with its own setup, so this is just a place for updates and support related to that server.
Ah, I see. In that case, you might want to add a bit more info on that. For a specific instances, people often have questions such as:
- Where is it hosted?
- Who are the admin team?
- What kinds content are allowed or prohibited?
- What is the funding model?
Ah, my bad I must have misunderstood. Very cool, and I hope you get some traction!
Fluxer app is for the entire app - this is for a specific instance of it.
