I totally understand where anti AI purists are coming from but it’s getting silly how every post that has any connection to LLMs get this, no matter what they achieved.

It’s like if vegans were to post negative comments on recipes or anything remotely connected to dairy or written by meat eaters even. I’m sure there are some who do, but IMO that’s pretty obnoxious.

        It’s not just any connection.

They’re relying on an llm for all the structural components of the analysis. They haven’t done the thinking of how these parts come together and what would actually be convincing.

This looks like a Claude code job where they sent the agent at the task and the agent cooks for a while to create something which would be convincing to people who don’t actually know better.

Look I develop a lot of analyses. Llm as a coding assistant when you know what both right and wrong code looks like, they can be useful, if they don’t to overcook everything. They’ll help you build functions to build parts of things. But if you are relying on them to do the thinking, you are utterly fucked and there is no there there.

And with regards to the vegan metaphor. Firstly, while I can understand it being annoying, I really don’t give a shit. This isn’t a personal choice thing, this is a “the very structure of society is being impacted by this” thing.

I’m all for people wanting to do these kinds of analysis and it’s totally valid for some aspects of an llm to play in your work flow. But if we let just sloo like this through, we’re utterly fucked

Yeah you have to recheck every thing with AI. That a tool for expert used by novices. We were speaking about it with an Dev with a 20year career. You have to supervise it closely if you want to pay an expensive price later. Same go for people which stop thinking. But I recon it is hard to not it think for you when iam tired it sound pertinent. But looking really close it do shit. Any question about it ntegration is dog shit. General case doesn’t event cover the shit ia spawn.

This kind of post would be much more useful than the ai slop one.

Saying that people should be careful around this data because there’s a risk the author doesn’t doesn’t know what they’re doing would be a helpful comment.

I’m a vegan myself so was just trying put myself in the ai haters shoes. I really think enslaving animals is horrible but when I talk about it I try to do it in a way that can make a difference rather than make meat eaters hostile/annoyed/guilty etc.

Jokes on Reddit censorship aside the post is seemingly solid. Facts are making sense. This kind of transparency exercise would do a lot of good if done of other legislative initiatives. Though I don’t see any call to action and not much would be actionable anyway, it’s all beyond the reach of peasants.
