    Wearos screenshots I see do not look interesting.

    This type of on-the-watch navigation komoot offers for 2 years or so.

    And generally for hiking komoot is the best I found.

        You are welcome. Komoot is good. What I find attractive offline navigation requires a one time map purchase, not a subscription.

          i use osmand+ from fdroid. free map downloads and has many of the trails in my area

            This is not the same thing. Apps for hiking like komoot have many special things for hiking during preparation and during hike itself.

    I wish trailforks had a wearos app. I believe they have an exclusive contract with Garmin though.

      Most of the reason I wear a smartwatch is to prevent me from pulling my phone out. If I can avoid doing that and know I’m still on the (sometimes poorly marked) trail it’s a win.

        Yes. Having navigation support on the wrist is really helpful and reduces distruption if implemented well.
