I’m often on the 1st floor of a building on a main road. I can see directly into people’s cars as they drive by and there’s usually someone driving with a phone on their lap, which they are scrolling or typing on. It has put me off driving myself now because I feel safer on a bus.
Seen that myself after only just getting my licence recently. That and people who have absolutely no idea of the rules of the road.
And it’s largely out of your control. I do make eye contact with other drivers coming my way (if I’m making a turn that crosses lanes) to check how alert they are. I also never take people’s indicators as a guarantee.
Congrats on the license. Passing the test opened up the country to me a bit since I could travel more. I hope it’s every bit as good for you.
