Fear the reaper.
I remember back in the first game there was a bug where all adult civilians basically had the same age at the start of the game and as you played, mass waves of dying occurred at the same time.
Is this thing un fucked enough to with bothering with yet?

The first big performance patch after launch, and the other big one that fixed landlords really helped. It’s been a minute but this new dev seems like they care to fix issues so I feel good about it’s future.
Can a 4090 get 60 fps at 4k yet?
My 3080 was doing 2k at 60fps decently deep into builds if that gives you an idea
Yeah I still play 1 and it’s just not clear this one is enough to warrant the spend.
I also mostly play on my steam deck these days so it would have to be a major gameplay improvement. And there is plenty to improve upon, like traffic routing, etc .
Overall, yes. People who want a deep economic simulation wont be happy with this game though, saying that as a PSA.
Currently it seems like there is a big visual bug that makes everything look like its a 2013 game, but once they’ve fixed that it should be good.
Depends on what you’re going for. I’ve been playing it and having plenty of fun.
If I zoom out quickly while going at a fast simulation rate I occasionally get an effect I call “long car”, which I think is an asset getting a screen space motion blur applied at the wrong scale. It’s not particularly disruptive, and it’s when you go from “intersection” to “city” in a quick change.I know some people are still very upset about it, but I’m not so I can’t tell you if the issues they had are resolved or not, or if you would be okay with it or not.
