I started shaving my head at 19 before my hair started thinning. It’s clean and convenient and I think it looks good. Eventually my hair did thin out, but I never really noticed or cared because I was used to it.

I work with a lot of balding men who are holding on for dear life to the last few hairs they have, when the solution is to shave it off and get a nice clean look. Anybody who has taken my advice has thanked me, wishing they had done it sooner.

Right, altho I’d argue that looking at the posts and examples in that sub, we can also see plenty of people who jump the gun and shave their heads too early, when they could at least last a few more years using Toppik, etc. The right haircut and hair fibre use can do a remarkable job extending a reasonable hairline.

That said, I do agree that some people wait too long, aesthetically-speaking.

But the other thing about shaving your head is that you have to keep doing it indefinitely, from that point on. For many, that’s probably just a little extra time in the shower every 2-3 days or so, but for some people that can still be kinda problematic.
