      USA media used to hold each other accountable & were therefore reasonably trustworthy because any scandal was extremely undesirable. Big money has destroyed that along with everything else by making scandals practically de rigueur.

        Well, yes…but actually no.

        The US populace is bombarded with far more propaganda than almost any other country on the planet (quite possibly more than any other country), and this has been the case for most of it’s existence.
