I watched a video from Endollphins about Barbie heads on Aliexpress (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US9HUtoLBfA), and I really liked the reproduction of the OG Barbie sculpt, which is often used on Silkstone Barbies. So I decided to order 2 heads for myself (I couldn’t decide on the color), together with the MengF body mentioned in the video. I ordered the one with 26 joints in the “Super White” color.
The body is awesome. It’s quite costly, but very detailed. It’s very similar to Fashion Royalty in terms of size and look, with the mobility of the Barbie Made to Move line. It feels nice in hand, and all parts are the same color (unlike Barbie MTM, where parts of the body sometimes colored differently). The head is okay-ish. The mold is fine, but the rooting is awful. I expected it, given how cheap it is 😅 I found a local master who will do a re-root, so we’ll see how it goes.
The head/body match is not perfect: the head is a bit whiter. But only a little, so I’m satisfied. The body color is the lightest in the MengF line, so I couldn’t do more.
Also, it looks like the one with blonde hair matches a bit better.
