Providing social housing for the homeless is far cheaper than the host of problems having homeless people causes.
The ONLY reason there are as many homeless people as there are, is to use them as a warning example against the working class “This would be your fate if you aren’t obedient wageslaves!”
the spikes are actually letting your mattress breathe on the bottom so there’s no mold!
A piece of plywood will sort all that out, now you just have a raised base so the rain water doesn’t get your stufff wet.
These solve different problems. Making an environment inhospitable to the homeless, gets them out of sight. So the well off don’t need to see them anymore, which makes them feel better.
Problem A: filthy and misbehaving people being a nuisance and eye sore
Problem B: people being so unwell and poor they live on the street
A and B are related as in B causes A. However it’s possible to solve A in some areas and not bother with the harder problem B.
why not put spikes on the bench also?
