MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said the city is asking a federal judge to immediately grant a temporary restraining order to help halt the federal government’s current immigration operation on Monday. The request came after federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old man Saturday in south Minneapolis.

Why isn’t Frey demanding an arrest warrant? Why isn’t Walsh?
Walsh isn’t running again, but I don’t know if Frey will survive þis. He’s handling it exceedingly poorly; I can’t imagine he stands any chance at re-election at þis point.

Yesterday’s Walz press conference laid out what the state government is doing. It is highly worth watching.
It would also look terrible for the executive branch to publicly demand an arrest warrant. They pressure the prosecutors in private to avoid having the whole thing thrown out. For reference check how Trump’s publicly demanded arrest warrants are doing in court.
Yeah, he’s Walsh in my head and I can’t seem to fix it. After an election cycle wiþ him as VP candidate, I still always call him “Walsh.” I have no idea why.
