we rent a house in a cracker ass neighborhood with an overbearing HOA and a bunch of middle aged/elderly white people with nothing going on in their lives
i went for a walk the other night, then the next morning i look at the neighborhood fb group and see a post a neighbor made about how some guy wandered onto their porch. anyway this woman replies in the comments about how our area is supposedly “becoming unsafe” (its not) and how her husband told her he saw “someone walking in a hoodie at 11 last night”. that someone was me. i saw her husband pulling in while i walked by and thought to myself “god i hope this mf doesnt talk to me”. he didnt. apparently he went inside and immediately told his wife there was someone walking down the street. suspiciously wearing a hoodie in 45 degree weather. also i want to point out it was closer to 10 but she specifically claimed 11 bc it sounds scarier lmfao

This is exactly what I wonder they’re doing when I walk around the neighborhood with my dog at night wearing a hoodie. And I bet they are doing just that. Frankly, any cracker who slows down or stops and stares, I stare right back until they leave - because if you’re going to suspect, back it up with your words. You don’t get to suspect quietly and in cowardice.
However I don’t live in the US so the likelihood of being gunned down for standing up for myself is next to zero. The fact that some cowardly little cracker could do that there makes me sick, because that’s all they are without their guns.
yeah, this was confirmation for me as well. i always figured they were probably thinking some shit but then seeing it confirmed like that on fb lmao. honestly it sucks but i can’t help but laugh. these boomers specifically are ridiculous bc they bought their house in this neighborhood when shit costed nothing. my room mates and i probably each pay more a month to live here than they ever paid for their mortgage but they wanna act like somehow we don’t belong here

Yup. ICE isn’t anything new. They’ve been doing this shit for decades. There was even that picture of a detention center under Obama people thought was Trump. Then you see stuff like the Rodney King beating, the assassination of Fred Hampton, the murder of Emmett Till, and how all of these events have a direct line to slavery and the enforcement of slavery through state violence. It’s like “What country you from where you didn’t think this was normal?”
Now that there’s video cameras everywhere and white people are increasingly becoming the targets of that same violence, they starting to freak out over things the rest of us realized a long ass time ago.

This is the problem. George Floyd was killed just 5 years ago, but people just act like it was ages ago. And they act like shit like that didn’t just keep on happening. It took a brazen murder by an ICE agent for people to remember that the agents of the state can act with impunity. But hell, I’ve seen people even go as far as to act like the police are the good guys now as if most of the time they don’t work hand in hand with ICE.

First off, I’ve never understood the stereotype of ugly Indian women because all the ones I see here are usually pretty attractive.
Second, Guatemala has a similar thing. People think we’re all short, fat, and ugly until footage comes out of our beauty pageants or athletes and then the comments go full thirst in surprise we have attractive people lol

I had a few posts come up on my social media feed from, what I thought, was a cool POC leftist account and gave them a follow. When this ICE shit started popping off they posted a video with someone complaining about single issue “Palestine” voters. I just thought they couldn’t be serious. I went further back in their post history and they had a bunch of videos of mostly white people complaining about the strawman “Palestine single issue voter” and I was fucking mad. Most people that cared about Palestine enough to not vote for Kopmala also cared that she was part of an administration and party that keep exploding police budgets. Exploded the DHS budget. Used language that helped build hatred against immigrants. I can keep on going.
I really want these people to wake the fuck up. I have so many lib friends that are still ok with Democrats and it makes me so fucking sad that they just don’t open their eyes.

Been feeling really hopeless about this job hunt so I called this close friend to talk about it…
We discussed this a bit in the past, but he told me that he is absolutely willing to help me get a CNA cert. We’re both gonna do some research and see what CNA programs are out there, and he said that he’d be willing to pay for a program that can ideally get me certified and working within a matter of weeks.

I had crushes on white people before, prob a good thing none of them out if I’m being honest. I’m happy now and at a stage where I’m not chasing white approval as cringe as that’s to admit about my past self
My granddad was a white guy who married a Chinese woman he met in Taiwan while he was deployed there with the navy, so you can already guess how 80% of this story goes. He spent the next several decades up until his death becoming obsessed with China, became a China studies professor, etc. From what I’ve heard from my dad the household was an abusive disaster and one parent pulling a knife on the other wasn’t a rare occurrence. Literally every time I ever met him he would be demanding constant praise from whoever he was talking to for having solved racism, and in his own words having “cured racial hatred in my family for at least the next 5 generations.”
Like damn, I guess his dementia must have made him forget about how 80% of my family is indulging in some form of self-hatred and doing purification-of-the-bloodline type shit, and how all my cousins became servant-of-the-empire foreign service freaks who all eventually wound up as ghouls working in the DC foreign policy circle in the hopes of becoming honorary Aryans.
This kind of shit got so bad I’ve gone 100% no contact with every single relative. I’m happier now than I’ve ever been going it solo. Luckily I have a relatively stable job that enables me to do that.
There was a time when I dated white while living in the US. Coming back to Guatemala put a quick end to that with how much less of them were around. Also realized how much I enjoyed not having to deal with racist “jokes” from whoever I was dating or their friends/family.
I eventually married a Guatemalan of East Asian descent but there haven’t really been any issues on that front other than occasionally being reminded she’s more Guatemalan than I am.
