It's the suburb in Sydney that no longer exists — except for a train station — but did it disappear because of scandalous murders or was it just to increase property prices?

    When I pass the Macdonaldtown train station, I always thought to myself it’s like they made a mistake and built the station in the wrong spot, but couldn’t admit the mistake and had to leave it there…

      It turns out it in a really convenient spot for lots of local though.

      Edit: also the station is so plain you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s located in a dump but it’s in the middle of a nice leafy area close to parks.
