Flashlight of the Year 2025
2025 has been a good year for flashlights, more than doubling my count of ★★★★★ (outstanding) ratings. It’s time to pick a favorite.
The linked reddit comment talks mostly about emitters. Did you mean a different comment?
I have to say, now that almost every light uses rechargeable batteries, higher or lower efficiency just means recharging a little bit less or more often. It still matters but less than before, since it no longer means buying fewer or more batteries.
The section links in your article don’t work since the domain is missing from them (maybe you want to set it with a BASE tag). The winning light’s link is: https://zakreviews.com/skilhunt-m150-v4.html
Me, I mostly want an 18650 Anduril headlamp, and a refactored Anduril that makes UI customization easier.
@solrize @flashlight I fixed the internal links.
The Reddit link looks right to me. It’s a comment describing a hypothetical “Thrunite Neutron 1A”. Thrunite did make a light along those lines called the T10 v2, but it wasn’t nearly as well done as any iteration of the M150.
