‘South Park’ creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, who this summer landed one of the richest TV deals ever, are in a standoff with performers at their Casa Bonita restaurant near Denver.

I thought Casa Bonita was doing gangbusters so kind of surprising but also not that the South Park guys are stalling with the union. You get rich enough you lose touch, and iirc theyre fairly libertarian.

That’s disappointing, but they’re rich so can’t expect any better of them. Oh well, off to the gallows with ‘em.

It just sounds like they haven’t reached an agreement regarding pay increase. It doesn’t say they took any action to oppose the union from forming.

“Union representatives said performers’ wages there average $21 to $26 an hour.”

Another poster said that the restaurant is a money pit but their startup costs were so high from renovation that it’s impossible to be profitable yet. That doesn’t mean they’re not profitable on a month-to-month basis.
