    I argue cities or permanently settled regions also existed way in the past, and not a 10 thousand year old phenomenon

    Trade wants to exist, rare stuff are bartered, even if it was small, settlements at chokepoints for trade would eventually occur, far before 10k BC

      I no longer have my copy and my brain cannot hold onto numbers, but I’m pretty certain The Dawn of Everything provides evidence/arguments in favor of this.
