God damn you didn’t say it was a sleeper hold! I don’t know who Gunther is so I was picturing like a Sharpshooter or something, at least that would have been a real move. Going out on a rest hold is brutal.
Prior to joining the main WWE roster, he was known as Walter on the indies (and in NXT). His gimmick is basically that he is so strong and good at wrestling that even the most basic of moves from him are absolutely devastating. A chop from him is essentially a Tombstone Piledriver in terms of kayfabe power. Search “Walter chops” on Google images and you’ll see why.
All that being said, not who I would have picked as Cena’s last opponent, but I get that Edge wasn’t available.

listen i’m sorry and all and gunther could be the nicest person but the name is SO basic like who was like “i know i want my wrestling name to be gunther”.
