Sudan’s army chief and head of the ruling Sovereignty Council, General Abdelfattah al-Burhan, on Monday proposed restoring the country’s original independence flag while reiterating his firm rejection of any political settlement that does not include the disarmament and dismantling of the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
