Not current, father of the current.
He was part of the terrorist Zionist militia the Hagenah. In 1940 , they bombed the SS Patria , which carried Jewish refugees the result was 252 Jewish passenger dead
Good catch, didn’t notice his first name not being Isaac.
Seems reasonable.
Not at all
gross, mcentee won’t even say the name palestine, and is throwing the whole jewish community under the bus by treating judaism and zionism as the same thing
How so? He’s explicitly separating the actions of the current Israeli government from the Jewish community.
i don’t mean this as an attack on you or anything, but i don’t interpret her message the same way.
she mentions that he’s jewish twice, that his father was a rabbi once, then says “he’s an important figure […] particularly for members of ireland’s jewish community” in her above statement.
that man’s big claim to fame is that he joined zionist movements, moved to palestine (the country mcentee couldn’t bring herself to name even once!) and became president of the zionist state. his only connection to ireland was being born here before leaving in his teens, so the decision to name a park after him can only really be based in zionist sentiment.
she’s not jewish herself, and she hasn’t exactly conducted a referendum with the jewish community in ireland. imo, she’s just associating zionism with judaism, which is unfair to the jewish community.
Ah, I wasn’t aware of that nuance. Thanks for clarifying.
Like his son he is a settler colonialism who was part of the terrorist zionist militia Haganah. Nothing should be named with his name
In 1940 , they bombed the SS Patria , which carried Jewish refugees the result was 252 Jewish passenger dead
If he was simply an Irish Jewish Man that would be fine, but he went on to lead a colonial nation that’s engaged in genocide. He does not deserve any respect.
Israel could not ask for better friends than FFG.
We are cowards
well if he was president of israel that would make him chief nazi in the eyes of lots of lemmings
Rightly so
