      Also metalcore has been used so poorly it doesn’t have any meaning (or at least I just ignore it nowadays), people use it for anything with remote hardcore vibes (even Pantera had hardcore influences through Anselmo), metallic hardcore, or the dreaded “mallcore”

      I bet some people would list the mighty SOD as metalcore, since they’re a crossover of (thrash) metal and (punk) hardcore 😉

      To lazy to edit, but yeah, I’d agree with metalcore, but BTBAM hasn’t been metalcore for 20 years.

      Maybe it’s time to let go old grudges 🙂

        Well idk about old grudges, I’ve only been properly in the metal scene since 2021 😉, no hard feelings buddy. But I have listened obsessively every day since. And absorbed as much culture as some do over decades ;) .

        I explicitly said I WASN’T GATEKEEPING or TRYING TO BE A DICK. But sure. Just trying to have a fruitful discussion.

        On another note, you do bring up an interesting topic I may or may not make a post about.
