Tulsa leads Oklahoma cities with the most data centers. Its plentiful resources, lower energy costs and proximity to major business hubs could be why.

Fucking 27 AI data centers and our state and local government are celebrating this. Even mentioning how great it is that we have all this fresh water to give them. It makes me sick.

    Has OK ever had good news? It seems like every single thing I hear coming out of the state is corrupt police, ultra right wing government weirdness, fracking is poisoning everything, or this.

      OK is a government handout state, so this tracks.

      In 2022, Oklahomans netted about $7,908 per capita in federal dollars, which ranked the nation’s 10th highest that year, according to the Rockefeller Institute of Government.

      This means per capita every Oklahoman paid in $9,221 to the federal government while receiving $17,129 back in federal dollars for shared programs and services.

        I know and I love to move to a blue state. But two things. One I can’t afford to move to a blue state, but two and more importantly. If we leave then the right will have no opposition. It’s what they want to drive us on the left out. I want to fight, but don’t know how or where to start. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

        I do email these reporters and tell them maybe stop putting positive spin on these. I said how about go to where these fucking things are active and see how those towns people feel now.

        They destroy your water supply, and the noise pollution and light causes multiply health issues.

            Yeah exactly do I afford to do that? Sell my home just not be able to afford one in these so called wonderful blue states. No matter how great they seem they are expensive and have large numbers of homeless. I have to work 4 jobs just to afford one of those cities. And I say city because anywhere else in those blue states are as red has Oklahoma.

              I am not saying anywhere is that great in the US, but red states want to kill you and fighting that is a different level of risky and futile.
