A subreddit for any and all forms of debate. Religion, politics, and ethics are all welcome, as long as it is done respectfully. Rules will be kept to a minimum to encourage discussion of all kinds, with some obvious exceptions.

RULES

  • No hateful or discriminatory speech. Any speech that is unnecessarily cruel, combative, inflammatory, or aggressive will prompt a warning. Similarly, any speech that is racist, sexist, transphobic, or xenophobic will get only one warning before a permanent ban. Any speech that encourages or incites any sort of violence or harassment will get an immediate permanent ban.
  • No image based posts. Posts can include links to images if they’re useful for the topic you’re introducing, but the post itself should be text based.
  • Posts must be written to invite debate over a given topic or statement. Don’t just post memes about Ben Shapiro. Use titles like “I don’t think social media is good for society overall, thoughts?” or “Do you agree or disagree with banning soft drinks larger than some given size?” There should be a clear point of contention on which users can state their own positions and engage with other users who disagree. Do not post nebulous or ill-defined topics like “why are liberals so easily offended?”
