No shit, they go in the wrong direction, because nobody stops them.
They make the most money not caring about the environmental damage. Governments will have to be the one to make them care, because the average common person doesn’t know what the word “boycott” is or how to actually do one.
Governments are not going to make them care because the “average common person” can’t fund politics or offer politicians cushy jobs once out of office.
And unions have been of very limited use in pushing climate legislation because so many of them are conflicted over jobs.
Power is a shitty thing.
