Dr. George Yancy is a Professor of Philosophy at Emory University. A Red Alert Politics article states “Nothing says “Merry Christmas” like a letter to white Americans calling them racist. Make no mistake, if you are white, you are racist. The Blaze* pointed out, professor George Yancy called on white America to examine the ‘racist poison that is inside of you.’ And Yancy means all white America.”
Ohhhhhhh.
Here’s the actual article which out of all his writings caused such a tempest. It seems fine. I may or may not agree with it, but it’s definitely not any kind of wild or vicious thing that means he should lose his job or anything even close to that. It sounds exactly like the kind of conversation about race that conservatives would like to make illegal or punishing for a person to have, yes, and yes that’s a problem.
