Someone I know who really drank the Russian propaganda kool aid keeps insisting that NATO in fact keeps provoking Russia into a war.

No matter how badly they might be doing with boots on the ground, they are readily winning the propaganda war. It is disheartening to see.

I like how everyone was well aware that Russia would try to poke NATO into a slow/crappy/timid response for over a year and they still weren’t ready anyway
