Right now, Trump is using federal funding to extort illegal demands, strong-arm private entities, and push his disgusting agenda. At this point, would pulling the plug completely be a good thing – even until 2026. Would ICE still operate or would it have to scale back?

Should we be petitioning our reps to support a prolonged shutdown and not “negotiate with evil”? Would protest signs like “pull the plug” be appropriate? Is there any advantage at all to trying to negotiating or avert it? (One concern might be, would that give Trump all the power unilaterally, not sure if someone could clarify or chime in.)
