One of the nation's largest pharmaceutical chains has been promoting access to the vaccines without a prescription in the state as recently as last week.

The Oregon Board of Pharmacy stressed Friday that it would require prescriptions for approval and await more information from the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, of which U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy removed all members in June.
