    Cool. I noticed that it only mentions convicted, pending conviction, or other immigration violations. It doesn’t mention those that have no issues? Or is that what other immigration violations are (like visa over stayers etc).

      Yeah that was my first thought too.

      Haven’t there been cases of legal US citizens being detained by ICE? Surely they wouldn’t fit into any of those categories…

        Exactly. While the number is probably small relatively speaking, hiding it isn’t a good look.

      Well, they have to be accused of something to be detained. Immigration violations of some types don’t get a court hearing to be “convicted” of those violations by a judge by default.

          No, it’s still true. They are being accused of being brown in the USA. Or being a political rival. Remember, the government can accuse anyone of anything, due process sorts out if the accusations have merit… Oh wait.
