I think gradle may be grading a little too harshly. After my second guess, almost all of the possible answers ended in S, and a cursory scan indicates that most of those were plurals, making them ineligible answers. C’mon, gradle, get the stick out of your butt.
I also don’t like that the scoring is dependent on the correct answer is. The score should tell me if it was a smart guess (most guaranteed word removals).
The Wordle bot from NYT separates luck from skill just like you’re saying. Maybe gradle could do the same thing.
